(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, June 13, will be partly to mostly sunny with the possibility of isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms forming along a dryline by this afternoon.
Lipson says the best chance of any thunderstorm activity is expected to occur in northeast Fremont County, where more moisture and higher dew points will be present, namely Shoshoni, Boysen Reservoir, the Wind River Canyon, Moneta, Lysite, and Lost Cabin. These storms could produce 45 to 55 mph wind gusts along with small hail and locally heavy rainfall. A lower chance of thunderstorm activity is expected elsewhere.
After any showers should end by this evening, and tonight will be clear, Lipson also shared.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also advised that the most significant severe weather potential is in the Johnson County area.
High temperatures will be in the 70’s and 80’s today, with lows tonight in the 50’s for most.
