RIVERTON – The Ashgrove building has always been about kids. Now home to the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton for the past year and a half, it continues that legacy by supporting youth after school, during the summer, and through a full range of programs that inspire, engage, and grow kids all year long.
During the 2024-2025 year, the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton served 720 local children and offered 31 weekly programs, ranging from STEM and reading clubs to sports and arts. Club staff logged 1,108 hours of programming and mentoring, and with support from donors, provided 18,753 healthy snacks and meals so every kid could participate and stay fueled regardless of family income.
“We are thankful for the Riverton community and their continued support,” said Courtney Barber, Site Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton. “We are serving more kids than ever before, with regular attendance up 58% over the past year and a half.”
The Riverton Leading the Way Campaign is a community-focused initiative inviting local supporters to invest in two years of Club operations and in the building itself. Contributions support program staff, supplies, and facility needs, helping keep the Club open, welcoming, and ready to serve youth each day. Community members who have not yet visited the Club will have an opportunity to experience it firsthand during an upcoming Chamber of Commerce After Hours event, hosted at the Club in March. The date will be announced soon. The gathering will offer time to connect with staff and supporters, tour the facility, and see how the Riverton community comes together in support of local youth. Cookies will be provided, along with stories that highlight the Club’s impact.
