(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton (NWSR) has shared that while the first week of June may be similar to the cooler May we just experienced, the second week is looking hot and dry across much of the state.
Northern parts of the state should experience drier than normal conditions, the NWSR advises, while the rest of the state should have normal precipitation. That precipitation will be restricted to mainly convective showers, the NWSR added, and will possibly be hindered by a potent high area of pressure that moves in the second week of June.
High temperatures may be above average during that time because of the high pressure, the NWSR also shared, with some areas reaching 10-15 degrees warmer than the normal recorded temperatures in the mid 70’s.
Although the temperatures will be rising, the NWSR also reminds folks to be water safe, because water temperatures are still in the 40s, thanks to high elevation snowmelt.
