(Fremont County, WY) – Aerial cheat grass spraying will continue today, May 8, through a partnership between the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lander Field Office, the U.S. Wildland Fire Service, the Fremont County Weed and Pest District, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department, and Wyoming State Parks.
The Sinks Canyon State Park Facebook page announced this morning that “drone application of Indaziflam (Rejuvra) for cheatgrass management will take place along the sunny side of the canyon.”
“Areas include Killer Cave trail area, across from the Sinks Canyon visitor center and the area of the Sandstone Buttress climbing area. …The Sunnyside Trail will be closed for the duration of the management operation.”
Folks are asked to avoid application areas until they reopen.
