(Fremont County, WY) – Last night, July 19th, the National Weather Service in Riverton shared that Lander set a new record high that day with the mercury hitting triple digits. Tonight, the NWSR shared that another record high was set in the 10 yesterday. Riverton also set a new record by reaching 100 degrees.
Both of the previous record highs for Riverton and Lander we set in 1998 with 99 degrees and 98 degrees, respectively. Our new records were set by just a hair compared to other record-setting temps like Greybull and Worland.
According to the forecast listed at the bottom of the below graphic, tomorrow is supposed to be sunnier and isolated thunderstorms are also expected.
