(Arapahoe, WY) – Arapahoe Charter defeated visiting Saratoga’s JV team with a 77–53 win. The Warriors’ starting five set the tone early with relentless defense and nonstop energy. Led by Devin Martel’s steals and Averrile Rhodes’ rim protection, Arapahoe forced turnover after turnover and completely disrupted Saratoga’s offensive rhythm, holding the visitors to just six points in the second quarter and eight in the third.
The Warriors turned defense into offense all night, pushing the tempo and cashing in on fast-break opportunities. Arapahoe also shot and rebounded the ball well, with Brandon White Eagle and Rhodes proving too big and physical inside for Saratoga’s JV to handle.
Arapahoe Charter is not yet an official varsity program. This season marks the final year of the three-year waiting period required for new schools before being classified by the WHSAA. Beginning next year, Arapahoe Charter will compete as a 1A varsity program, making this statement victory even more meaningful for the growing Warriors program.
