(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, January 4, will have thickening clouds as a mid-level circulation tracks east across north-central Wyoming, with occasional snow developing by this afternoon.
Lipson added that this snow will continue into the evening hours, accumulating up to about an inch across much of the Wind River Basin, including Riverton and Lander. Moneta and other eastern portions of Fremont could see 1-3 inches.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that the areas of Wyoming that will see the highest amounts of snow include from Worland to Thermopolis, the Buffalo area, and the western mountains.
High temperatures will be in the 20’s for most today, with lows tonight in the teens.
