(Fremont County, WY) – The BIA Forestry & Fire Management – Wind River Agency announced this week that fire restrictions have been lifted “within the exterior boundaries of the Wind River Reservation,” as of October 29.
“Cooler temperatures and the recent moisture have lowered the threat of wildfires and removed the need for fire restrictions,” the release states.
Field, ditch, debris or pile burning are now allowed with a BIA Burn Permit, as are burn barrels with proper screening to prevent escaped fire.
