(Shoshoni, WY) – The Shoshoni Senior Center was packed on Thursday with locals gathered to recognize Kathy Blair as Citizen of the Year. The award has been voted on by the community and given to the deserving citizen every year since sometime in the 90’s, according to Mayor Highsmith. The senior center provided chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes, peas, and a celebratory chocolate cake for dinner for all of those in attendance.
Blair was joined by her family and friends to accept the award.
“She’s always served this community,” said Joel Highsmith. “Kathy has served on the council, and she’s currently serving as our town historian… She’s been part of the fabric of this community since I can remember.”
