(Shoshoni, WY) – The ice skating rink at Boysen State Park is officially open, the Boysen State Park Facebook page shared on January 30.
“The ice skating rink at the Swim Beach will be open for use starting on Friday, January 31,” the post informs. “We have skates, hockey sticks, skating trainers, and walkers available for free at the change house across from the restroom, thanks to generous donation funds.”
There is no charge for rink or equipment use, just the standard park day-use fees: $7 per vehicle (Wyoming residents), $12 per vehicle (non-residents). The park just requests that all borrowed equipment be returned “so everyone can enjoy.”
The announcement goes on to share that the ice is over 14 inches thick, and is monitored weekly for safety. Access will remain open until the ice shrinks to 10 inches in the spring.
