(Lander, WY) – Lander Brewfest was held last weekend in City Park, bringing beer drinkers and breweries together for a fun-filled weekend in the shade. 21 breweries and five distilleries set up tents and loaded their kegs to show off their goods to roughly 1,700 festival goers across two days, and to compete in the yearly beer contests judged by category.

Blushing Burro owner Roxy Dominguez stirs up the award-winning “The Cuttie,” a colorful cocktail that imitates a cuthroat trout with its red and gold appearance. This year marked the third year distilleries have joined the lineup. “That has been a popular addition to our lineup,” said director Meghan Manning. Musical guests included John Roberts y Pan Blanco on Friday, while Lander’s own The Tinderwoods opened for Tris Munsick and the Innocents on Saturday. Local businesses set up booths with games and contests, and food trucks served food and drinks in the adjacent City Park parking lot.

Mapping out 26 vendors across City Park presents a logistical puzzle each year, but Manning says a flexible approach keeps things running smoothly. “The solution is a ‘go with the flow’ plan of action,” she said. As for next year, Manning isn’t planning major changes just yet. “We are still catching our breath after such a busy weekend,” she said, also adding that year after year brewers tell her this is their favorite festival. “Absolutely everyone had a great time, both vendors and attendees.”
