(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, June 28, we can expect more of the same with that “atmospheric furnace” ushering in hot, dry westerly winds of 20 to 30 mph, under sunny skies.
Lipson says the relative humidity should dip down to 12% today, and that tonight will be mostly clear with westerly winds gusting up to 35 mph, decreasing by midnight.
The National Weather Service also advised that elevated to critical fire weather conditions will continue across much of the area today. Virga showers and thunderstorms will be possible from Sweetwater County to Natrona County this afternoon, the NWSR added, with strong outflow wind gusts possible.
High temperatures will be in the 80s and 90s for most today, with lows tonight in the 50s.
