(Wind River Reservation, WY) – According to the National Interagency Fire Center and the most recent Watch Duty app update issued around 7 PM, the Bull Lake Fire (west of Pavillion) is now burning at 100 acres, with 0% containment.
The fire was first reported just after 2 PM, and shortly after, it was determined that “access to the fire (was) very difficult for ground resources due to the fire’s location below the rock rim,” according to scanner traffic updates shared on the Watch Duty app. This led to aerial resources being called in.
Flight patterns shown on the FlightRadar24 website show a Rockwell Jetprop Commander 900 making the aerial runs to assist with the fire.
