(Riverton, WY) – Local eatery favorite Bunk’s BBQ celebrated its grand reopening today, November 15, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from the Riverton Chamber.
Bunk’s, located at 201 E Washington Ave. in Riverton, closed the doors of its physical location back in December of 2023 to focus more on their food truck and catering, but is now back in their old spot.
Owner James told County 10 today that the food truck isn’t going anywhere but will mostly be out of commission for the winter season, and that the catering services are still in full swing.
The new hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 AM to 3 PM, and then on Fridays from 11 AM to 8 PM. The remaining days will be used for catering services and events.
“We’re just excited to be back in town with our brick and mortar location open again,” James shared, adding that having the full kitchen will mean offering foods that they can’t serve/prep in the food truck.
“It’s good for us. It lets us expand our menu.”
“The biggest difference now is we plate everything to-go style, whether you’re dining in or taking it home,” James explained. “That way, you come up to our window, place your order, and we just bring the food right out to you. It lets us streamline operations a little bit, and that way we don’t have to raise our prices.”
Also new to Bunk’s is a dedicated dessert offering from Marisha Graves and the Busy Mother LLC, which specializes in allergen-friendly/gluten-free goods.
“We work with dairy allergens, egg allergens, whatever you have for allergens, we’ll work with you,” Graves shared with County 10.
She also let us know that the “gooey butter cake” is one of their hit products that you don’t want to miss out on.
In addition to the sweet treats, Graves will also be making buns for the BBQ side of things, and they will also take custom orders for things like birthday cakes and cookies for events.
“If you’ve got a sweet tooth, it doesn’t matter if you’re getting barbecue, you can just swing in, get a cupcake, some cookies, some of her amazing gluten-free breads, and discover that whole side of things,” James added about the new offering.
