(Riverton, WY) – The annual Rendezvous City Beef Roundup (RCBR) is back for another year of beefy goodness on Aug. 24 at the Central Wyoming College campus.
General admission is free and includes access to the concert, beef production demonstrations, beef preparation workshops, and discussions on sustainability. However, purchasing a ticket will upgrade your experience and unlock additional perks and exclusive activities.
This year’s event brings together numerous celebrities from the carnivore world, including Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Dr. Lisa Wiedeman, Dr. Sean O’Mara, Dr. Robert Kiltz, Jake Thomas (Life Like Jake), Courtney Luna, Bella Ma (Steak and Butter Gal), Angela Lerro (meatbasedmedium), and Simon Lewis (howtocarnivore).
The day kicks off with a Live Carnivore Q&A from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Robert A. Peck Arts Center. Attendees will have the rare opportunity to ask the carnivore celebrity panel questions and hear their responses. This is a ticketed event.
The majority of events that day will take place at the Rustler Ag & Equine Complex, 1110 Day Drive. Gates open at 10 a.m. Some event highlights are as follows.
- Kid’s Cooking with Pluck and Redmond’s from 10 a.m. to noon outside in the food truck area.
- Redmond’s Real Salt Talk from noon to 1 p.m. in the Main Arena.
- Carnivore Cooking with Courtney, Bella, Elle, and Angela will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. outside in the food truck area.
- Beef and Beer Tasting (ticketed event) from 2 to 3 p.m. in the tent.
- Women’s Health and Carnivore Talk with Courtney, Bella, Elle, and Angela from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Main Arena.
- Beef and Wine Pairing (ticketed event) from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the tent.
- VIP Best Beef in Wyoming (ticketed event) doors open at 5:30 p.m. in the VIP Arena.
Tyler McCann, RCBR founder and organizer, shared that people are traveling from as far away as Canada and Hawaii to attend this year’s event.
“We are nationwide and international,” he said.
Over 50 vendors that are either 100 percent Wyoming-based or 100 percent beef-based are expected this year.
The food trucks this year are competing for Best Food Truck in Wyoming, McCann explained, noting that the first 1,000 attendees through the gate will get a token that they can place in a designated container to help their favorite food truck win.
Starting at noon and going until 3 p.m., the band Barcode 307 will be playing outside. So, you can buy some grub from a food truck and enjoy the live music.
The RCBR has continually grown, moving from the Inter-Tribal Center on campus to now the new Rustler Ag & Equine Complex.
“Every year, we kind of outgrow the footprint that we were in the year before, and we’re hoping this building is big enough to hold it for a while,” McCann said.
