(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, October 4, the expected trough of low pressure will move into Wyoming, so we can expect numerous showers with a possible lightning strike or two, and west winds of 20-30 mph. Many areas around Fremont County are expected to receive up to a half-inch of rain today.
Lipson added that the rain will change to snow in the Wind River Mountains this afternoon, with up to 3 to 4 inches of snow expected on Togwotee Pass, and up to an inch of snow is possible this evening just above South Pass. Conditions will remain cloudy tonight, with rain showers continuing along with blustery northerly winds of 20 to 30 mph.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that highs will be in the 50s and lower 60s today, with lows tonight in the 30s.
