(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, March 31, a low-pressure center over the Pacific Northwest will eject an upper-level disturbance toward our area.
This, combined with an unstable atmosphere, will result in scattered showers, with isolated lightning possible, and west winds gusting up to 20-30 mph. The wind and scattered showers will continue into tonight, Lipson added, and the showers will mostly likely turn to snow showers later tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that western mountains will see periods of snow throughout the day with scattered showers for lower elevations. Precipitation chances make their way east of the Divide by the afternoon/evening.
High temperatures will vary across the 10 today, with Dubois and the South Pass area in the 30’s, Lander and Jeffrey City in the upper 40’s, and Riverton/Shoshoni in the 50’s.
Lows tonight will be in the lower 30’s and upper 20’s.
