(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that last night’s cold front will be followed by a reinforcing, secondary cold front today, October 29.
Cold temperatures from this secondary front will combine with moisture from a deepening trough of low pressure, resulting in cold, rainy/snowy conditions.
Lipson added that there will also be northern winds gusting up to 30 mph, and that we can expect mostly snowfall tonight when temperatures drop even more. By Wednesday morning Riverton could be at an inch or two, Lander at three, 4-8 in South Pass, and 8-12 in the higher elevations around Lander.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also shared that snow will linger into tomorrow morning as well.
Highs will be in the 30’s today, with lows tonight in the 20’s for most.
