(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that a strong cold front moved through the area this morning, which has resulted in temperatures dropping by about 30 degrees today, October 18.
A low pressure center is also tracking south across the Great Basin today, Lipson added, making for a wet and cold day.
A mixture of rain and snow this morning will become mostly rain by this afternoon, with the coldest night of the season expected tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that snow will continue in the mountains, and that below freezing temperatures are likely tonight.
Highs will be in the 40’s for most today, with lows tonight in the 20’s.
