(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, August 7, the expected strong cold front approaches our area, which will result in better chances of scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms.
Lipson added that these storms will see some locally heavy rainfall, small hail and gusty winds up to 45 mph, and will continue into tonight where there will be a continued risk of rain showers after midnight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that critical fire weather conditions will be in place for much of the area west of the divide.
High temperatures for today will be in the 80’s, with lows tonight in the 50’s.
