(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for their regular meeting on Tuesday, July 2. Below is a recap.
The Board approved coverage for cyber security through the Wyoming Association of Risk Management at Level 4 ($2 million) at an annual premium cost of $5,857.02.
A memorandum of understanding between the Wyoming Office of Guardian Ad Litem and Fremont County, Wyoming was approved for FY 2024-2025.
Resolution No. 2024-21 “Appropriation Resolution” was approved for FY 2024-2025.
The Fremont County death benefit was approved for FY 2024-2025. It provides the beneficiary of a full-time employee with a total sum of $10,000 within 45 days after the employee’s death and $5,000 to the beneficiary of a part-time employee, funded through the health benefit fund.
Per state statute, the Commissioners requested a statement of the receipts and expenditures of the County during the preceding 112 months setting forth the amount of all receipts and the purpose and the amount of all expenditures to be prepared by the County Treasurer and County Clerk no later than September 30.
The Commissioners approved a letter of support to the Wyoming Game and Fish Department to pursue the acquisition of a 25-year special use lease with the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments for an access road and parking area for access to the Popo Agie River between Lander and Hudson, with funding from the conservation stamp revenue.
The Board approved the Historic Preservation Commission’s fundraising effort for an optional historic preservation license plate, similar to the wildlife conservation license plates currently available.
The Board approved the Kamminga Subdivision, a five-lot simple subdivision located just off Highway 26 and Arroyo Lane northwest of Riverton.
The re-organization proposal for Treatment Courts and Youth Services was approved. Both departments will be under one executive director, and authorization to hire a new position of a Treatment Court Coordinator was granted.
The Board approved the request from Pushroot Brewing Company for a catering permit for July 3 and 4, 2024, at Krazy Bull Fireworks, 80 Mortimore Lane, Lander, as approved by the City of Lander.
