(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened on Tuesday, Sept. 17, for their regular meeting. Below is a recap.
The protest letter from the Fremont County Commission was approved regarding the Rock Springs Resource Management Plan.
Notice of award and agreement for use of economic development tax funds were approved for: Chad Henshaw, Back-40 UAV LLC for $25,000; Fremont County Fair Board for $80,000; Riverton Youth Soccer Association for $39,800; and Taylor Murphy, Double Axe Roll-Offs LLC for $15,000.
A contract between Wyoming Department of Family Services and Fremont County Commissioners was approved to administer the temporary assistance for Needy Families Community Partnership Initiative for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wyoming.
A contract with Tomahawk Fencing and Shoeing, LLC was approved for removal of the existing South Pass and Atlantic City Road Snow Fence.
A BLM temporary use permit was approved for the South Pass and Atlantic City Road Snow Fence Removal Project.
A Wyoming Association of Risk Management Final Proof of Loss was approved for damages to a Transportation Department pickup totaling $5,389.42, less $5,000 deductible, for amount claimed by Fremont County of $389.42.
October 6-12, 2024, was proclaimed as National 4-H Week and the community is encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to become more aware of this special program that enhances our young people’s interests in their futures as part of Fremont County 4-H Youth Development and to join in recognizing the unique partnership between Fremont County and our State University System.
