(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, March 29, will be much cooler behind last night’s cold front, with partly sunny skies and widely scattered showers expected to develop ahead of a stronger approaching Pacific trough.
Lipson says this trough will usher in a reinforcing shot of colder air, so any rain will turn to snow by tonight. By tomorrow, 1-2 inches of snow is expected for Riverton, 2-4 inches for Lander, and 3-7 inches for Beaver Rim and the eastern slopes of the Wind River Mountains, including South Pass, Sinks Canyon, and Togwotee Pass.
The National Weather Service in Riverton also reported that high temperatures will be in the 40’s and 50’s today, with lows tonight in the 30’s and upper 20’s.
