(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, May 14, a low pressure center will be tracking east across southern Montana.
This will initiate scattered showers and afternoon thunderstorms today, Lipson advises, and some of these thunderstorms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and locally heavy rainfall under partly sunny skies today. Northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts will be near any thunderstorms.
Scattered showers will extend into the evening hours, followed by partly cloudy skies tonight.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also reported that high temperatures will vary across the 10 today, with Dubois and the South Pass area in the upper 40’s, Lander, Jeffrey City, and Shoshoni in the upper 50’s, and Riverton at 60 degrees.
Lows tonight will be in the 40’s and upper 30’s.
