(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that for today, September 4, we should expect some increasing clouds this afternoon, due to lingering moisture and instability behind yesterday’s cold front.
This means widely scattered afternoon thunderstorms are expected primarily over eastern Fremont County, including Jeffrey City, Lysite, Lost Cabin and Moneta, as the front and trough exit to the east, with accompanying cooler temperatures and winds.
A lingering shower or two may occur this evening as well, but otherwise tonight will see clearing skies.
The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that there is an isolated risk for strong winds and hail this afternoon during any storms.
High temperatures will be in the 70’s for most today, with lows tonight in the 40’s and 50’s.
