(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has reported that today, July 15, the expected cold front will begin to swing through, with partly sunny skies and scattered afternoon/evening thunderstorms.
Lipson says some of these storms will bring small hail, locally heavy rainfall, and wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph. It is also possible that a couple of thunderstorm cells could produce hail of one inch in diameter or greater, along with potential wind gusts of 65 to 75 mph. The most likely window for these storms to occur will be between 4 PM and 9 PM this evening. 15 to 25 mph winds, with some gusting up to 30 mph, will continue into tonight from the northeast. Steady rainfall will also continue through tonight behind the front, with the heaviest and longest-lasting rainfall expected tonight in Northeast Fremont County under cloudy skies.
Highs will be in the 80s for most today, with lows tonight in the 50s.
