(Pavillion, WY) – Wind River High School wrestler Talon Walker is our Athlete of the Week, presented by Wyoming Catholic College.
Walker won the 2A West Regional championship individually in Cowley last weekend for the 106lb weight class. Walker handled Thermopolis’ Garret white 3-0 in the final round. He’ll now go to the state tournament in Casper with a whole lot of momentum for the Cougars.
A pair of other Fremont County competitors won individual championships at regionals too. Wyoming Indian’s Ben Niedo at 285 and Shoshoni’s Brody Shepard. To read more about all three of their accomplishments, click here.
