The driver of the stolen ambulance eluded Law Enforcement in a lengthy chase during which he rammed Law Enforcement vehicles from FCSO, RPD and BIA, causing minor damage. The occupants eventually stopped the ambulance in the area of Riverton Oil Field Road, on the Wind River Reservation and fled on foot, they have not been located. The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reports over the past 24 hours the Fremont County Emergency Dispatch Center has taken 61 calls for service. During that same time period, the county’s ambulances have been dispatched 25 times and the county’s fire departments have been dispatched 2 times.
During that same time period, the Sheriff’s Office took 1 call(s) involving motor vehicle accidents with 0 of them reporting injuries and 0 of them reporting property damage.
