(Riverton, WY) – County 10 hosted its fourth annual Student of the Year Banquet on May 14 inside the Intertribal Education Center at Central Wyoming College. The event honored one standout student from each high school in Fremont County, celebrating their accomplishments in and out of the classroom. Each student received a $500 scholarship, courtesy of County Title, Bailey Enterprises, McDonald’s and County 10.

Throughout the school year, County 10 recognizes a Student of the Week from each high school in the county. At the end of the year, administrators from each school select one student from that pool of weekly winners to represent their school at the banquet.
County 10 CEO Will Hill served as the event’s host, bringing each student to the front of the room and reading excerpts written about their character, accomplishments, and plans after high school. The night’s featured guest speaker was Aleta Moss, head coach of the Wyoming Indian girls basketball program and the winningest basketball coach in the history of Wyoming high school basketball.
The student winners were Amaya LoneBear (Arapaho Charter), Katie Pluhar (Dubois), Henessy Flores (Fort Washakie), Noah Cox (Frontier), Daegan Reinhardt (Lander Valley), Allanah Brown (Pathfinder), Tosha Kenyon (Riverton), Cayden Harris (Shoshoni), Jeffrey Strock (Wind River) and Heeyei’Nittou Monroe-Black (Wyoming Indian).
Jeffrey Strock of Wind River High School was named the overall County 10 Student of the Year and received an additional $500 scholarship, courtesy of County 10.
The banquet also recognized Destiny Romer as Teacher of the Year, made possible by Legacy Accounting Group, and Beau Pitt as Support Staff of the Year, made possible by Bailey Enterprises, Inc. Scholarships were made possible by County Title, Bailey Enterprises, McDonald’s, and County 10.
