(Hot Springs County, WY) – The “Coyote Run Fire,” located southwest of Thermpolis, is currently active and sitting at an estimated 100 acres as of at least 7 PM (July 1), according to the Watch Duty App. There is also another active fire north of Thermopolis, the “Hall Fire,” which is burning at 250 acres.
Details are limited as of this writing, but Fremont County Fire Protection District Chief Ron Wempen shared with County 10 that two Fremont crews have been sent to assist with the Coyote Run Fire, which he confirmed is indeed “active and burning.”
County 10 will share additional details and updates on the fire as they are made available.
