All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Fremont County, WY) – Crowheart resident Quinlan (James) Hernandez, who was charged with nine counts of sexual abuse involving a minor, has changed his plea to ‘guilty’ following a change of plea hearing held before the Honorable Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on December 13.
Hernandez was charged with four counts of aggravated sexual abuse, two counts of sexual abuse and three counts of sexual abuse of a minor back in April, after a missing 14-year-old was located at his residence, who later reported the physical and sexual abuse to investigators, according to federal Court documents.
Hernandez initially pled “not guilty” to the charges at his July arraignment hearing, and a jury trial was then scheduled and reset multiple times, ultimately landing on January 6, 2025.
However, a non-public plea agreement was later filed on December 10, and yesterday’s change of plea hearing was set.
The plea was conditionally accepted, and a sentencing hearing was set for March 5, 2025.
