(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.
The agenda includes a proclamation for Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The council will also consider approving:
- a Memorandum of Understanding with Fremont County for the Riverview Road Reconstruction Project
- the purchase of new police technology upgrades
- a permit to grant space to Southwest Airlines Company to house radio equipment for flight tracking at the Airport Fire Station Building
- an amendment to the Event Application and Use of Public Space application form to include after-hours park reservations
- a resolution modifying the Eastern Shoshone Business Park Planned Unit Development Agreement
The council will also be asked to concur with a staff decision to apply for a 2025 State Homeland Security Program grant through the Wyoming Department of Homeland Security for $184,742.
City Administrator Kyle Butterfield said the grant funding, if awarded, would be used “to improve some of our dispatch functions.”
An executive session will be held Tuesday if needed.
The meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
