(Dubois, WY) – It’s time to gear up for the next Dubois Town Council meeting happening on July 24, 2024, at 7:00 PM. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the key points up for discussion:
- Purple Heart Community – Dubois is looking to reaffirm its status as a Purple Heart City. This is a great chance to honor our local heroes who have been wounded or killed in combat.
- Ordinance No. 469 – The council will consider the third and final reading of this ordinance, which amends rules related to minor offenses in town.
- Fire Restrictions – Given the current fire hazards, the council will discuss implementing Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. This would align with the county and Wind River Reservation’s recent decisions.
- 2024 WWTP Improvements Project – There’s a big pay application up for approval, totaling $275,517.
- TAD Grant Reimbursements – The Dubois Chamber of Commerce is requesting reimbursements for various projects, including the Visitors Guide and Summer Events Brochure. The total request is $9,080.17.
- Motorcycle Races – The Dubois Speed Goats Dirt Bike Club is planning an exciting event on August 24, 2024, with up to 200 participants. The council will consider authorizing this event.
