(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council is gearing up for its regular meeting on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 7:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers. The meeting is open to the public and can be watched here on the City’s YouTube Channel.
Pre-Meeting:
The Finance Committee will gather at 6:45 PM to discuss bills to be paid. This session is open to the public, so feel free to drop by early.
Agenda Highlights:
- Call to Order, Pledge of Allegiance, and Invocation: The meeting will kick off at 7 PM.
- Reports and Comments: Council members will share updates and insights during the roundtable, followed by reports from the City Administrator and comments from Mayor Tim Hancock.
- Citizen’s Comments: Have something on your mind? This is your chance to speak up during the Communication from the Floor segment.
- Consent Agenda: The Council will review and approve minutes from the previous meeting and the Finance Committee meeting held earlier that day.
- Rendezvous Balloon Committee Appointment: Exciting news for balloon enthusiasts! A new appointment will be made to the Rendezvous Balloon Committee.
- Ordinance Considerations: The Council will discuss and vote on the third and final readings of three key ordinances:
- Ordinance No. 24-003: Trees & Shrubs
- Ordinance No. 24-004: Public Intoxication
- Ordinance No. 24-005: Municipal Parking Lot Regulations
- EDGE Funding Agreements: The Council will review funding agreements for local businesses and organizations, including Pertech Industries, Inc., The Stock Doc, P.C., Help for Health Hospice, and Shannon Watts Art & Design.
- Grant Applications: Consideration of resolutions related to Federal Mineral Royalty Grant applications, FAA & WYDOT Grant Applications.
- Bid Awards: Two significant projects are up for bid awards—an HVAC project and the North GA Apron.
- Riverview Road Agreement: The Council will discuss an agreement with Fremont County for engineering services related to Riverview Road.
