Katmai National Park’s beloved Fat Bear Week returns for September 23-30, and as in years past the Lander Library will have the live bear cams playing throughout the week. This lighthearted contest invites the public to judge the winter-readiness of the brown bears of Katmai National Park in Alaska as they get ready for hibernation. Children (and adults!) are also welcome to cuddle with our very own stuffed fat bear.
