Lander Rural Fire was dispatched to a reported grass fire near milepost (MP) 41 on WY-28 just after 6:00 pm last night, July 6th.
“The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, but firefighting personnel stopped the blaze at 1.4 acres,” Lander Rural Fire shared. “Fire units remained on scene overnight and well into the day today due to the fuel loading in the area.”
MP 41 is between both ends of South Pass City Road that intersects with WY-28.
