UPDATE: As of about 3 PM, LPD Chief Kelly Waugh confirmed the fire is already in the mop-up stage. The fire was a “controlled burn that got out of control,” but the property owners “got it knocked down pretty quickly” as fire crews arrived on scene.
(Lander, WY) – Crews are currently on-scene for reports of a fire in the 400 block of Eugene Street in Lander, as of about 2:40 PM, June 12. Responders are staged in the alley connecting N 4th and N 5th.
Use caution in the area and yield to all responders.
