(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton has shared that a Freeze Warning is in effect for much of Fremont County from 1 AM to 9 AM, for Tuesday, October 1, as overnight temperatures drop into the lower 30’s and upper 20’s.
The Warning is in effect for the “Lander Foothills, Natrona County Lower Elevations, Upper
Wind River Basin, and the Wind River Basin” areas, including “Lander, Riverton, Casper, Dubois, and Shoshoni.”
The Warning advises that “frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing,” and that folks should “take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
