(Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton shared some pictures and data from over the weekend, which saw Fremont County transition from elevated fire weather conditions, to record lows, below-freezing temperatures, and snowy conditions in the Togwotee Pass area, as pictured in the featured image and below.
Riverton experienced a record-low temperature this morning at 39 degrees, which was previously 41 degrees from back in 2013. Lander was just a few degrees off from the record low of 32 (from 1908), at 36 degrees.
And folks over in Dubois got to wake up to 24 degrees temperatures this morning as well, just 4 degrees away from being one of the coldest recordings in our area.
The cold won’t last long, though, with the NWSR calling for warming temps through the week.
