(Fremont County, WY) – The Stage 1 fire restriction fire ban issued for Fremont County on July 12 has been lifted as of November 12, according to a press release issued by the County Comissioners.
“Based upon the recommendation of Fremont County Fire Warden Craig Haslam, the Fremont County Commissioners lifted fire restrictions, effective today, November 12, 2024,” the release states.
The lifting of the ban only applies to property within “unincorporated areas of the county as each municipality regulates land within its own boundaries.”
“Even though we have been experiencing wetter and cooler weather, caution still needs to be adhered to as a result of dry fuels in the lower elevations,” Fire Warden Haslam stated in the release.
The Commissioners still advise residents to “remain cautious and diligent.”
