(Lander, WY) – Yesterday evening, July 20, a structure fire was reported on Tweed Lane in Lander, which resulted in a partial closure of the road while crews battled the flames.
The Fremont County Fire Protection District has shared the following release, which includes additional details about the fire.
On Sunday, July 20th, 2025, at approximately 5:05 p.m., the Fremont County Fire Protection District responded to a reported structure fire in the 900 block of Tweed Lane.
Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire conditions and immediately initiated a coordinated fire attack. The incident prompted a significant multi-agency response, with a total of 18 fire apparatus and 33 firefighters operating on scene. Responding resources included six trucks from Lander City Fire Department, four trucks from Lander Rural (Battalion 3), three trucks from Central Fire (Battalion 1), two trucks from Morton-Kinnear Fire (Battalion 5), two trucks from Hudson Fire (Battalion 10), and one truck from Pavillion Fire (Battalion 7).
Firefighters worked swiftly and aggressively to contain and extinguish the fire. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries to civilians or emergency personnel.
The Wyoming State Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
