All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Vernaldo Ren Dodge, 42, of Fremont County, faces one count of failure to notify Sheriff’s Office change of address.
The charges are related to a report on February 14th, 2019. Dodge waived his preliminary hearing on July 31st, 2019 and the case is being transferred to District Court.

According to court documents, Dodge is “a convicted sex offender” and was released from the Fremont County Detention Center on January 30th, 2019. It is reported at the time of his release he did not inform the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) of his current residential address.
It is noted, records indicate Dodge has failed to notify the FCSO of his current address since February 2018. Dodge is reportedly supposed to update the FCSO of an address change within 3 working days of the change.
Dodge is being charged with:
- One count failure to notify Sheriff’s Office change of address (felony) with a maximum penalty of imprisonment of not more than 5 years, a fine of not more than $1,000 or both.
