Fremont County Treasurer Tom Majdic plans to step down from his position which began following the 2018 election.
Majdic only stated in his resignation that it is for “personal reasons,” according to Fremont County Commissioner Chairman Travis Becker.
“We will follow State Statutes regarding resignation of County Offices,” Fremont County Republican Party Chairwoman Pepper Ottman shared with County 10.
A vacancy will be declared on September 30th, Becker explained as next steps. Leaving it up to the Republican Party to provide the Commissioners with candidates to fill the vacancy.
