(Fremont County, WY) – The Fremont County Clerk’s Office has shared that for tomorrow’s (August 18) Primary Election Day, they will begin receiving unofficial returns after 7 PM when the Voting Centers close. Results from each Center will be taken to the Election Central, located at the Fremont County courthouse in Lander (450 N. 2nd Street, Room 220).
After the polls close, the unofficial results will be posted on the county website as they are received from each Voting Center. The unofficial results will be finalized after the last returns are received later in the evening. Because results will be coming in from Voting Centers all over Fremont County, including Dubois and Shoshoni, the unofficial returns will likely not be finalized until 9:30 PM at the earliest.
The Clerk’s Office reminds voters that because they can vote at any one of the Voting Centers in Fremont County, the numbers reported in the unofficial results may change throughout the night until all of the unofficial results have been received. County 10 will publish a results landing-page article Tuesday evening when the polls close, which will include a link to the County website so folks can check the unofficial results as they come in. Once the Clerk’s Office finalizes the unofficial results, County 10 will publish those results in the article.
The finalized unofficial results will then be certified on Thursday, August 20 at 1 PM in the County Commissioners’ Chambers at the Fremont County Courthouse. As always, the public is invited to attend the canvassing.
As a reminder, Voting Centers are open tomorrow, August 18, from 7 AM to 7 PM at the following locations:
- ARAPAHOE: Admin Building, Multipurpose Room – 445 Little Wind River Bottom Rd.
- DUBOIS: Headwaters Arts and Conference Center – 20 Stalnaker St.
- ETHETE: Wyoming Indian High School Gym – 638 Blue Sky Hwy
- FORT WASHAKIE: Ft. Washakie School Gym – 90 Ethete Rd.
- KINNEAR: Kinnear Fire Hall – 11521 Hwy 26
- LANDER: Bob Carey Memorial Fieldhouse – 350 Baldwin Creek Rd.
- RIVERTON: Fremont Center – 1010 Fairgrounds Dr.
- SHOSHONI: Shoshoni Senior Center – 214 E. 2nd St.
