(Lander, WY) – The Pathfinder High School Class of 2025 graduation ceremony was held in the Pathfinder gym last Friday, where there were equal parts cheers, laughs, and celebratory confetti cannons.
Following the opening procession, the ceremony started with remarks from FCSD #1 Superintendent Mike Harris and Pathfinder Principal Ceatris Wall, who recognized the Pathfinder Staff in attendance, as well as attending school board members Mara Gans, Jared Kail, and Aileen Brew.
The Class of 2025 student speaker was McKenzie Keller, who shared memories that elicited laughs from the staff and students, and also caused some mutual tears when she thanked her mom for always pushing her to attend school and get her degree, even when she didn’t want to show up to class and had thoughts of dropping out.
Keller also thanked the Pathfinder staff for guiding and pushing her as well, and shared how proud she was of her fellow graduates.
The guest speaker this year was Pathfinder Special Education teacher Joelle Titus, who was chosen to speak by the students.
“This is what makes the hard days worth it,” Titus said of graduation day before recognizing the students’ growth and resilience. “I know I speak for all of our staff when I say it’s been my honor to get to be a small part of your journey.”
Once the speakers wrapped up, it was then time for the graduates to receive their diplomas.
The Pathfinder High School Class of 2025 included: Sophia Acuna, Christina Addison, Brandon Brough, Douglas Crawford (Pathfinder’s County 10 Student of the Year scholarship recipient), George Garcia, Hadli Gimple, Avalon Hill, Garrett Johnson, McKenzie Keller, Aubrey Milleson, Braden Stoeger, and Kiran Wendel.
