(Riverton, WY) – The Atlantic City Federal Credit Union, which has locations in Riverton, Lander, and Shoshoni, recently announced it is transitioning to a new name, Grand Altitude Federal Credit Union, or just “Grand Altitude” for short.
The transition was made official Monday morning, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the Riverton Branch, where Mayor Tim Hancock did the deed with the ceremonial scissors as Grand Altitude employees, board members, and members of the Riverton Chamber looked on.

Before the official ribbon-cutting, Riverton Branch Manager Kourtney Hanger shared some history of the Credit Union.
“In 1960, the mine opened. In 1964, the credit union was founded to serve the needs of those miners. In 1983, the mine closed, but the credit union remained open. For the past 42 years, we’ve continued to serve not just Fremont county, but the communities across Wyoming. And today, as we begin a new chapter, we’re proud to announce our new name and brand, Grand Altitude Credit Union. This new brand represents strength, resilience, and the pursuit of new heights, symbolized by the peaks and summits in our logo. It reflects who we are today and where we are headed as we look to grow and serve more communities across the state. What hasn’t changed is just as important. You’ll still receive the same great member service. Our board of directors remains the same, and we continue to operate with local leadership and local decision-making.”
