(Lander, WY) – Tammy and Shane Green continued their annual tradition of hosting a charity yard sale this past weekend, where they raised $6,000 for seven local families in need, including the Nipper family.
“The proceeds will bring meaningful assistance to the Nipper family and six other recipients, exemplifying what can be accomplished when individuals unite for the greater good.”
Tammy explained that she started doing the charity yard sales 24 years ago, and has done one every year except for the last four years due to COVID and the cancer diagnosis for her husband Shane.
“Now I am able and ready to help others with these yard sales yearly,” Tammy shared. “There have been many people that have received lots of beautiful gifts of love to help them with needs.”
In addition to the Nipper family, whose GoFundMe you can donate directly to here, a young boy with special needs was also able to receive a wheelchair, crutches and other items donated to the yard sale.
Tammy said that giving the envelopes of money and donated items to the families is the “best part.”
“It was the most beautiful day ever to give out these envelopes to people,” Tammy stated, and added that when her neighbors saw her putting all of the items in her yard for the sale, they all joined in “with helping hands.”
“I couldn’t do it without Work from everybody in this community.”
