Democratic candidate Lynnette Grey Bull has conceded the race for Wyoming’s U.S. House seat to Republican incumbent Liz Cheney.
I congratulate Representative Cheney on winning another term, and hope that she will represent all the people of Wyoming faithfully.
I offer my sincere thanks to all who supported me and my campaign; from voters to donors to volunteers to those who took the time to write messages of support, you have honored me and I want to take this opportunity to honor you as well. I am humbled by and grateful for each of you, and I promise to continue working tirelessly to make our state a better place for all of us.
In particular, I thank my tribes, the Northern Arapaho, Eastern Shoshone of the Wind River Reservation, and all of Indian Country, for the outpouring of support. I am proud to be the first Indigenous person nominated for federal office in Wyoming and look forward to continuing to work hard for my community and my fellow Wyomingites.
Grey Bull swept every county in the state in the Democratic primary, winning 60% of the vote.
