Looking for a fun family outing? What if it was free? The Garden Expo has you covered! Mark your calendar for this Saturday, April 18th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lander Valley High School (350 Baldwin Creek Road.)
This popular event is packed with activities for kids and adults. There is lots to see so be sure to check out everything outside
- Fuel the Fun: No need to pack a lunch! Grab a snack from the vendors or a meal from the concessionaires.
- Meet the Animals: Little ones can get up close and personal with barnyard animals at the petting zoo.
- All Aboard! Take a horse drawn wagon ride around the grounds (weather permitting).
- Meet the Experts: The trade show brings together vendors that are offering anything from items for sale, to services, to advice.
- Grow Your Knowledge: Workshops this year will cover garden soil health, edible landscaping, vegetable varieties, weed management, container gardening, gardening with children, planting and caring for trees, and being prepared and comfortable while recreating outdoors.
And NEW THIS YEAR:
- Hands On Workshop: Linda Williamson is presenting a 2.5 hour, deep dive class on fermentation. This workshop is hands-on and you will take home two ferments you prepared and two fermentation kits. The same class will be offered twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Pre- registration and pre-payment of $25 is required. Click here for more information and sign up.
