The 14-year-old Casper boy who was found deceased in the river near the Wind River Canyon Campground on August 14th has been identified as Nathan Hunter, according to the Fremont County Coroner’s Report.
The report released today, September 25th, states Hunter had an alcohol level of .173% under “relevant toxicology.” This level of alcohol is considered “very high,” according to alcohol.org.
His manner of death is listed as “accidental” and the cause of death is “asphyxia due to freshwater drowning.”
Following the incident, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office released a statement saying, “No evidence was located to suggest any foul play.”
No other information has been released by local authorities.
